The Creative Hub practicum project outlines a conceptual design proposal that focuses on creating a space for creative minded people to nurture their creativity and also connect art to the community. The theoretical research creates a frame work for design that uses sensory experience and physiological and cognitive lenses to enhance the thought process that individuals go through when involved in creative work. The theories used in the project include the sensory experience, creativity system, and creative thought process as well as creativity enhancement theory. Proposed is a design that creates a mindful and playful way of dealing with creative problem-solving using specialized functional programs and spatial qualities that address creativity. The aim of the project is to provide opportunities for people to play, enjoy, participate, engage, create, influence, learn, explore, and be an integral part of a creative community and also help individuals in personal renewal and growth.
