dc.description.abstract	This thesis provides a review of left/right orderable and circularly orderable groups. A detailed proof of the classical Farrell’s theorem for left orderable groups is given, and is generalized to the case of circularly orderable groups through a cohomological argument. This generalizes the classical Farrell’s theorem, in the sense that left orderable group may be viewed as the special case of circularly orderable group.	en_US
