A mathematical model has been constructed of the Wilson Creek Experimental Watershed. The watershed is located in the Riding Mountain National Park in the Province of Manitoba. The model consists of a computer program which uses rainfall and evaporation data as input and which produces hourly streamflow hydrographs as output. Physically, the model can be thought of as a system of linear reservoirs with outflows corresponding to the hydrograph components: direct runoff, interflow and base flow. The parameters that define the storage and outflow characteristics of each reservoir have been determined, from observed hydrographs. The model was found to be capable of a reasonable reproduction of observed runoff data. On the other hand, anomalies were encountered which require further study...en_US
