Abstract
Maps of distribution of 84 species of cladocerans, cyclopoids and calanoids in lakes of Canada are based on the study of 878 lakes and review of literature on more than 1100 lakes situated in a wide range of latitude and longitudes. Maps are accompanied by the list of lakes in which particular species were found. Mid-summer plankton in the entire water column of the open water zone of the lakes was considered in this paper. The purpose of this paper is to document the present distribution of planktonic crustaceans in order to enable any future studies on changes which may occur in Canadian aquatic fauna due to environmental changes.
