This study investigated the effect of Logo on the spatial ability of grade nine students. Fifty subjects (30 males and 20 females) were randomized into two groups. The experimental group worked on a 5 week block of Logo activities for eighty minutes per week. The control group worked on a 5 week block of word processing activities for eighty minutes per week. Posttests means of the experimental and control groups revealed no significant difference between boys who used Logo and those who did not. No significant difference was found between girls using Logo and those not using Logo, however mean scores on subtests of spatial visualization were higher for girls using Logo. 'Whereas, the girls who did not use Logo had mean scores that were lower than any group, the girls using Logo achieved scores that were comparable to their male counterparts.en_US
