dc.description.abstractBee Maid Honey Limited is a honey production company. A honey drip oven is widely used for its production process. When operating the oven, the lids on the barrels will remove. These barrels are then inverted onto the ovens by forklift and put into an uninsulated oven heated to 78 [℃]. After that, honey will be left to melt and decrystallize overnight. Now Bee Maid Honey Limited has designed a new honey drip oven. They require the design of a thermal barrier and make improvements to the current design of supply ducts to the melting chamber to reduce the melt time and ensure a constant temperature. From the concept generation of this project, a preliminary concept for the final design was determined with a discussion with the clients. After simulation and designing, the simulation melting time with barrels was 15.277 hours, which was only slightly more than the client's needs (14 hours) and less than the original melting time (2 days). Although the simulation did not complete in time for the totes, it is clear that they will be substantially slower from the data already received. Also, a rectangular return duct with a width of 20 inches, a height of 8 inches, and a length of 4 feet or 48 inches, and a supply air duct with a width of 45 inches, the height is 6 inches, and the length is 49 inches are selected to provide continuous airflow. The one-inclined panel thermal barrier design is proposed as the final thermal barrier design. Its total heat transfer coefficient is 0.019 [Btu/(ft2hrF)].en_US
