dc.description.abstractMy Master of Fine Art research explores emotional scars and physical manifestations associated with death and the creation of nightmares that emerge from one’s experiences. Through the development of a series of sculptures, which I think of as surrealist story fragments, nightmares are revealed. I examine the psychological space of fear and loss via the surrealist strategies of metamorphosis of objects, tapping the unconscious mind, dreams, and offering clues to hidden mysteries.en_US
