The following report describes the results of a survey that we conducted during the summer of 2017 on different strategies being employed by other Universities to address the gender imbalance in their Computer Science programs. In conducting the survey, our goal was to compare and explore the variety of strategies being used and, when possible to gain insight on which strategies have seen the most success. In the next section we describe the schools that we surveyed and our general method of obtaining information on their initiatives. We follow this description of our method with a summary of our findings. Detailed breakdowns of each institution’s initiatives can be found in the appendices. We conclude with a discussion of the North American BRAID funding initiative and our final reflections.en_US
