The purpose of this thesis is to explore different factors which affect food purchase, consumption and wastage behavior in consumer households in Canada in context of the COVID 19 pandemic. A combination of the Resource Based View (RBV) and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) are utilized to develop a set of hypotheses. In addition, a survey instrument has been designed to empirically test the hypotheses. The study results provide important insights for reduction of food waste generation in consumer households in current pandemic situation as an important step to reduce overall waste in the food supply chain.en_US
