dc.description.abstract | An attempt is made to reconstruct the natural and cultural manifestations of western and southern Manitoba during the late and early post-Pleistocene. The study is based on available literature as well as firsthand analyses of presumed Paleo-Indian artifacts and the spatial distribution associated therewith. Particular emphasis is placed upon possible temporal and areal limitations imposed upon the early occupation of the region by the movements of the ice mass and the rise and fall of glacial Lake Agassiz. The primary data upon which the study is founded are described in detail. | en_US |
