Abstract
This study tided "Peak Performance Perspectives" documents four peak performing individuals, perspectives on their own optimal performances and examines how these individuals think and what do they do in order to function at peak performance levels. Additionally, the study notes the common qualities, (i.e., particular ways of thinking, acting, feeling) that emerge among the participants' descriptive reports and the sense of well-being that comes about as a direct result of optimal performance behaviours. Although world-class peak performers are reviewed in the literature documented in this study, the study itself focuses on individuals who are not world-class but are above average in their areas of specialty. The study considers the implications of peak performance among individuals that are not world-class, and the effects of such results on ordinary individuals, and on performance counselling.
