It focuses on the 2008 powersharing arrangements resulting from Marti Ahtisaari’s Comprehensive Proposal for the Kosovo Status Settlement that led to the independence of Kosovo and the adoption of its new Constitution. Study findings suggest that the peacebuilding process in Kosovo is primarily based on intergroup powersharing arrangements between communities and conflict management processes that have contributed to negative peace.
