    Culture of Assessment Survey Year One Report

    The Culture of Assessment Survey was developed by the former Assessment Committee at the University of Manitoba Libraries. It was constructed to measure the University of Manitoba Libraries’ progress in building a culture of assessment at our institution, and provide us with opportunities to course-correct and address concerns regarding assessment design and evidence based practice in the Libraries. This first survey, distributed to all Libraries’ staff through email, gives us our baseline culture of assessment measure as an institution. It was available for staff responses between July 23rd and September 4th.

    MSpace Digital Repository Mandate and Policy

    The purpose of this internal Libraries Policy is to set boundaries for the acquisition, submission, public access and preservation of materials maintained in MSpace. This Policy is subject to University of Manitoba Governing Documents, Policies and Procedures. The administration of this Policy will be guided by other University Policies and Procedures, and in particular Policies with relevance to the MSpace digital repository, such as those relating to research, Indigenous culture and knowledge, and repatriation and rematriation.

    Staff.lib Usability Testing & Redesign

    Test Plan: The University of Manitoba Libraries’ staff intranet, staff.lib, could be a vital resource for Libraries’ employees. It was created with the goal of providing a centralized hub for internal libraries information – unfortunately, it is not as widely used or centralized as initially intended. This test will identify areas in which staff.lib can be improved in order to better suit staff needs.
